Wind Protection Requirement

A change in Florida Law impacts 8000 Citizens policies.  Effective January 1, 2009 personal residential structures located in "wind-borne debris region" with an insured value of $750,000 or more will not be eligible for coverage with Citizens unless the structure has opening protections (such as storm shutters that comply with Florida Building Code requirements. )
